چکیده

Cognitive Radio Network (CRN) is an emerging technology used to solve spectrum shortage problems in wireless communications. In CRN, unlicensed secondary users (SUs) and licensed primary (PUs) use resources at the same time by avoiding any interference from SUs. However, sensing process CRN often disturbed a security issue known as Primary User Emulation Attack (PUEA). PUEA one of main issues that disrupt whole activity CRN. The attacker transmits false information interrupt which leads poor usage spectrum. proposed study uses proficient Time Difference Arrival (TDOA) based localization method using Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm identify CRNs. DE objective function TDOA values. methodology constructs identifies PUEA. aims sense localize efficiently. Mean Square Error (MSE) performance evaluation parameter measure accuracy technique. results are compared with previously Firefly optimization (FA). It clear converges faster than FA.

Secure Collaborative Spectrum Sensing in the Presence of Primary User Emulation Attack in Cognitive Radio Networks

Collaborative Spectrum Sensing (CSS) is an effective approach to improve the detection performance in Cognitive Radio (CR) networks. Inherent characteristics of the CR have imposed some additional security threats to the networks. One of the common threats is Primary User Emulation Attack (PUEA). In PUEA, some malicious users try to imitate primary signal characteristics and defraud the CR user...

Primary User Emulation Attack in Cognitive Radio Networks: A Survey

Cognitive radio is a promising technology aiming to solve the spectrum scarcity problem by allocating the spectrum dynamically to unlicensed users. It uses the free spectrum bands which are not being used by the licensed users without causing interference to the incumbent transmission. So, spectrum sensing is the essential mechanism on which the entire communication depends. If the spectrum sen...

Primary User Emulation Detection in Cognitive Radio Networks

Cognitive radios (CRs) have been proposed as a promising solution for improving spectrum utilization via opportunistic spectrum sharing. In a CR network environment, primary (licensed) users have priority over secondary (unlicensed) users when accessing the wireless channel. Thus, if a malicious secondary user exploits this spectrum access etiquette by mimicking the spectral characteristics of ...
